As I write this post, there are only 50 days to go until the London 2012 Olympic games begin!
I like many people in London, the UK and around the world, am rather exited about going to the Olympics, attending world class sporting events & soaking up the atmosphere.
Also as someone who loves being behind the lens, the prospect of photographing moments of these games (albeit from a fan perspective, not media) is one I am looking forward to.
I arrive in London the day before the Opening ceremony and leave the week after. Each day of my visit has already been planned out as much as I can without knowing the finer details. There will be a fair few early mornings and late nights in that week for me, so energy drinks etc will be close at hand, but I know losing a few hours sleep will be worth it!
During the Paralympics in September I will also be attending events in Athletics and swimming which should produce some great images. Between now and the games though, I will be doing further planning for my visits to locations, photographing a test event in Sailing at Weymouth (weather permitting!) Hopefully seeing the torch once or twice more and also continuing with my mini torch countdown project.
Any further updates will be posted on the blog.
